A Sixteen Year Old's Screenplay Becomes a Feature Length Motion Picture

Raleigh, N.C. (PRWEB) May 13, 2009 -- Last March, Lane Middleton, a sophomore at Broughton High School in Raleigh, North Carolina, wrote a ninety-three page screenplay about the preceding twelve months of his life. Because this hilarious comedy is based on a true love story, it is real and resonates strongly with high schoolers and their parents.

His father, Joseph Middleton, a professional film producer and video game developer, read the screenplay and sent it out to a key "mini-major" distributor. Both were impressed with Lane's screenplay.

"It is hilarious!" exclaims his father. "And, it totally depicts the quirks of life and love in current-day high school. Lane has the uncanny talent to take ordinary people and find their likeability and uniqueness. He then exaggerates their traits so that they are really funny characters!"

The movie was cast with the help of several casting agencies in the Southeast. A professional cast and crew was assembled with Lane, also a talented actor, playing the lead role. "Teen-Aged" was shot in three weeks with a grueling schedule of six days a week, twelve hours a day last August. Post production was completed this past January.

"Teen-Aged" has already received wonderful reviews in the Huntington News ( see http://www.huntingtonnews.net/local/090429-rutherford-appyfestival.html ) and has won a prestigious award at the Appalachian Film Festival. And, it is being represented by Circus Road Films, a top movie agent in Santa Monica, California. See www.circusroadfilms.com.

The "Teen-Aged"/Middleton/Circus Road team feel this unique and exciting movie is a candidate for a national theatrical distribution and, because of its underlying Christian theme, television sales and in the digital media worldwide.

Not bad for a sixteen year old's first screenplay!
